"Scenic road to the Rockies"

This is an original pyrography piece hand drawn and hand burned on an irregular slice of raw Manitoba maple wood with the bark. The essence of this piece is captured in different tones of brown from light to dark by varying the temperature of the metal tip used to burn the wood. No colors have been added. A coat of polyurethane was applied to seal the burn (except on the bark). 

It measures roughly 16"x11"x1" and includes metal wall fixtures at the back for easy hanging.
